Lucille “Lucy” Ann Moulton, 75, of Coldwater passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital due to complications of COVID-19.
A private graveside service will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Lucille was born July 20, 1946 to Vilas and Catherine (Keefer) Reese in Fostoria, OH. After graduation from high school she took medical transcription courses at Elkhart College. Lucy had a long working career including many years at Leran Copper & Brass and then at Felpausch in Coldwater for 21 years before retiring.
September 27, 1969 she married the love of her life, William Moulton at Saint Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria. Together they made many memories.
Lucy was a woman of strong faith and a life-long member of the Catholic Church, most recently St. Charles. She was a member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia in Ohio. Lucy was an avid bowler, participating in leagues and tournaments for many years. When her sons were growing up she was very involved in Little League Baseball, even serving as President for two years. Lucy also ran a concession stand for many years at the baseball field.
She was very proud of her Moped, driving it to work and around town to run errands. When not working or attending one of her son’s events, she liked to make hook-latch projects. Lucy will be remembered for being able to talk to anyone she came in contact with at work or around town and her love of animals, especially her dogs. Her true joy in life was spending time with her family.
Lucy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bill Moulton of Coldwater; her son Marc (Kelli) Moulton of Harrison Township, MI; her sisters Lois Dearsman of TN and Sally (Jim) Batchelder of Alexandria, VA; her brother Jim (Tobie) Reese of Myrtle Beach, VA; her close niece & nephew Mary Signor and Brian Signor; many other nieces & nephews; and her dog “Snickers”.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son Todd Moulton; and her sister Nancy Ginerick.
Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Branch County.
