COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Gasoline prices have jumped as much as 30 cents a gallon across much of Branch County and Southwest Michigan. Wednesday’s increase means a lot of you today may be paying about $2.60 a gallon for self-serve regular.
However, the slide back down in the cost to fill up may be right around the corner. Oil prices are slipping as U.S. crude inventories continue to rise. Oil prices had risen lately due to concerns about possible supply disruption. Oil-producing nations in the Middle East ship crude through the gulf south of Yemen, where a Saudi-led coalition is continuing a campaign of air strikes.
