COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – One of Michigan’s top elected officials will be in Coldwater tonight. Attorney General Bill Schuette will be the keynote speaker for the Branch County Republican Party’s 120th Annual Lincoln Day Dinner at the Dearth Center in Coldwater. Doors open at 5:30 pm with dinner will be at 6 pm.
Schuette, who previously served as Michigan’s Director of Agriculture under Governor Engler, has been a member of Congress, the Michigan Senate, and the Michigan Court of Appeals. He is rumored to be considering a run for governor because current Michigan Governor Rick Snyder is term limited at the end of 2018.
Meantime Wisconsin Governor and potential presidential candidate Scott Walker will be in Michigan May 4th, speaking at a Lincoln Day luncheon sponsored by the Ingham County Republican Party at the R.E. Olds Museum.
