COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – What is hoped will be the last series of invoices totaling over $103,000 for the Branch County 911 Communications Project was brought forward by the Branch County Board of Commissioners during their work session on Thursday.
County Administrator Bud Norman said the equipment being requested would make the system more operable and efficient.
The invoices covered such items as scanners, switches and antennas.
Commission Chair Tim Stoll hoped these will be the last invoices from the project they will have to deal with.
Norman added the surcharge approved by voters to help fund the project may not be needed for the entire six years.
Five new towers were built for the project. It was felt a sixth tower was not needed.
Formal action is scheduled to take place during the Commissioners regular meeting on Tuesday.
