NEW YORK (Reuters) – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is expected to send biofuel blending mandates for 2020, 2021 and 2022 to the White House for final review by early next week, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
The EPA proposed the rule in December, and the proposal included scaling back the amount of biofuels that U.S. oil refiners were required to blend into their fuel mix since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The EPA declined to comment for this article.
