COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Final preparations are underway for the annual Coldwater Swap Meet and Car Show which returns this weekend to the Branch County Fairgrounds after a two year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
There are new organizers of the event which will be held rain or shine this Saturday and Sunday.
Proceeds from the weekend will be donated to local non-profits and charities.
Since the Swap Meet and Car Show was reorganized into a non-profit organization in 2010, a total of $194,150 has been given to Branch County non-profit groups.
A total of 14 local organizations split $26,100 in donations from the last show that was held in 2019.
The schedule is pretty much the same as in past years.
The gates will open both mornings at 8:00 a.m.. There will be a Blessing of the Bikes at noon on Saturday followed by a Muffler Rap and Open Header Contest at 1:00 p.m..
Weather permitting, the Cruise Through Downtown Coldwater will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
The Grand Prize drawing will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
