COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With two major bond proposals on the ballot in 10 weeks, the Coldwater School Board is still dealing with operating budget struggles. Rising expenses and no significant increase in state aid have reportedly put the district over $1 million in the red. The board meets in regular session tonight.
Sources say district officials are looking at a number of cuts, including a major change in the programs at the Lincoln Learning Center and the elimination of at least one administrator position to deal with the shortfall.
The school board meets at 6 pm at the district’s Administrative Building on Sauk Drive.
