COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – An alleged non-compliant registered sex offender, a Coldwater man wanted out of Steuben County, Indiana was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service Western District of Michigan. 34 year old Jason Robert Cappella was located and apprehended in the 400 block of East Chicago Street in Coldwater without incident.
Cappella was wanted on a 2008 arrest warrant following a Sheriff’s Office investigation, charging Cappella with one count of class D felony failure to register as a sex or violent offender. Cappella was booked into the Branch County Jail yesterday and is awaiting extradition back to Indiana.
The US Marshals Service was assisted in the apprehension of Cappella by Coldwater City Police.
