NWS calls for hot weather to return next week, temps in the 90s with heat indexes over 100

BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – It’s been a nice run of pleasant temperatures since the Memorial Day holiday but that is going to change next week.

National Weather Service forecasters are calling for hot and steamy conditions on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Highs both days are expected to be in the low 90s with heat index readings over 100.

The last 90 degree day in Coldwater was on August 24, 2021.

But forecasters are not predicting a lengthy heat wave as temperatures are expected to be cool off into the mid 80s on Thursday.
