ASAN, GUAM (WTVB) – A Coldwater native has been honored by the U.S. Navy. Petty Officer 1st Class Jeffrey Warner was recently named as Region Sailor of the Year for Joint Region Marianas in Guam.
Warner is a nine-year Navy veteran. His duties include resolving pay issues to writing personnel evaluations and awards as well as assisting Sailors with career moves.
He also trains sailors through a Chief Petty Officer program.
Warner competed with 25 other sailors throughout Guam for the title of Region Sailor of the Year and will go on to compete with the sailors from each of the 11 regions of the Navy for the title of Commander, Navy Installations Command Sailor of the Year.
