COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – One of five suspects who are facing various drug related charges following a Coldwater Police investigation into alleged heroin and methamphetamine activity at a residence at 24 South Polk Street entered into a plea bargain with prosecutors in Branch County Circuit Court Monday.
30-year-old Jonathan William Elkins of Coldwater entered a guilty plea to a charge of possession of less than 25 grams of heroin.
Charges of maintaining a drug house, delivering or manufacturing methamphetamine and delivering less than 50 grams of a controlled substance along with an habitual offender sentencing enhancement would be dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for the guilty plea.
