COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater American Legion Post 52 will host its annual Veterans Day Open House this Friday.
The open house will begin at 10 a.m. with complimentary coffee and donuts.
A moment of silence will be observed at 11:00 a.m., which marks the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 when the armistice that ended combat in World War I took effect.
The moment of silence will be followed by a rifle salute and the playing of Taps by the Coldwater American Legion Drill Team.
A luncheon will follow the ceremony.
There is no cost to attend the open house, and the public is welcome.
