COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Not a good way to start the week. Fog and power outages provided an even more challenging Monday morning for some who were probably still trying to deal with the time change this weekend.
Dense Fog Advisories were issued until mid morning for Branch and surrounding counties.
The visibility at the Branch County Memorial Airport got down to as low as a fifteenth of a mile. The fog forced Quincy Community Schools to delay classes for two hours.
Nearly 3,000 Consumers Energy customers, mainly in the Albion area, were without power for several hours.
The power outage was reported at about 4:30 a.m. Consumers Energy reported on their website the power was restored at about 8:00 a.m.
