JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater varsity volleyball team improved their Interstate 8 Conference record to 4-1 on Wednesday night with a three games to two victory at Jackson Northwest.
The game scores in the marathon match were 14-25, 26-24, 25-18, 24-26, and 15-10.
It was Jackson Northwest’s turn to raise money for the fight against cancer.
Coach Kelsey Closson said, “It was an honor to get to be a part of their “Go, Fight, Win against cancer” night where they not only recognized those close to their athletes but also Coach Christina McCarrell.”

The Cardinals play again on Saturday at the Jenison Invitational.
Jackson Northwest won the J.V. match over Coldwater 25-15, 25-15.

The Coldwater freshmen volleyball team defeated Jackson Northwest in three games by scores of 25-17, 21-25, 15-6.
Leading the Cardinals on the night were Mackenzie Vandongen with 4 kills and 3 aces, Alyssa Carreon with 3 kills and 100% serving, Abby Garcia with 1 kill and 3 aces, Madison Stumpf with 2 kills, and Halie McFarland with 2 aces.
