COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Medicare Part D Open Enrollment takes place from October 15 through December 7 and the Branch County Commission on Aging has counselors available at the Burnside Center to help Branch County seniors review their Part D options.
Debbie Ambrose, MMAP coordinator at the Burnside Center in Coldwater, said, “It’s important to review your coverage annually, even if you’re happy with your current plan. Costs and coverage of the plans change from year to year so there may be options of better value.”
Medicare Medicaid Assistance Program counselors are trained with the most up-to-date information on Part D prescription plans, as well as other programs and benefits related to Medicare and Medicaid.
They are not affiliated with any insurance companies and cannot sell anything; they simply help those interested find options to make the best decisions.
This is a free and unbiased service available to all Branch County seniors.
The MMAP office is now scheduling Open Enrollment appointments.
Both in-person and phone appointments will be available. To schedule an appointment for your prescription plan review, call the Burnside Center at 279-6565 extension 129.
