BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The City of Bronson’s water tower painting and improvement project has been completed.
City Manager Brandon Mersman says the tower was put back in service on October 29, 2022.
He says the temporary pressure tank worked well and helped to reduce the strain on the city’s well pumps.
While the tank was out of service, the Bronson Fire Department put together a setup that would have been used in case of fires in the city or in the township.
It involved the pumping of water from an irrigation well at U.S. 12 and Parham Road and Mersman says it will likely be a very important tool for future fires.
The work on the water tank was performed by Nelson Tank and the contractor L&T Painting Incorporated.
