COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) A Coldwater man was sent to prison on Monday morning in Branch County Circuit Court after he entered a no contest plea to a charge of second degree criminal sexual conduct.
36-year-old Adan George Rodriguez was ordered to serve between two and 15 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections. He was given credit for 377 days already served.
Rodriguez was also ordered to register with the State of Michigan as a sex offender.
In exchange for his plea, prosecutors dismissed three first degree C.S.C. counts as well as another count of second degree C.S.C.
According to Branch County court documents, the victim was a 11-year-old girl who told Coldwater Police investigators about a year ago she had been abused every day for three years.
3 first degrees and 2 second s plea down to one second and he will be back out in a year. He should have been sent away for 50 years. What is wrong with Branch County Courts? This is a gross injustice to society.
