JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – Consumer’s Energy says nearly 90 interns took part in the utility’s annual Intern Challenge this summer.
The interns helped feed over 3,000 people and picked up nearly 450 pounds of trash. They also provided educational programming for 120 children.
The summer interns gave their time to 18 organizations.
The Intern Challenge is a competition which encourages interns to create solutions to the needs of communities which are served by Consumers.
Interns who took part in the competition work in a variety of areas including engineering, information technology and corporate security.
