COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Following the confirmation of two swine flu cases at the Muskegon County Fair, the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is encouraging Branch County Fair attendees to practice good hygiene especially if they walk through the animal barns.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported both of the cases were swine exhibitors at the Muskegon County Fair which was held July 25-30, 2016. In addition, the health department has been notified that a pig, shown last week at another county fair, has tested positive for the same virus.
Health officials say while you should always practice good hygiene, practicing it at the fair this year is even more important.
