QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Department says a Coldwater man was saved from possibly drowning on Marble Lake near Corn Island Sunday afternoon.
Undersheriff Keith Eichler says 22-year-old Skyler Reincke was found floating face down around 4:00pm near the west end of Corn Island.
Reincke was on a boat when Marine Deputies along with a Michigan Conservation Officer arrived on the scene. The Sheriff’s Department says he unresponsive and not breathing.
CPR was administered by staff from the Sheriff’s Office and the DNR Officer.Reincke was revived and taken by LifeCare ambulance to the Community Health Center of Branch County.
He was later transferred to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne where he is listed in stable condition. Eichler says alcohol was involved in the incident which remains under investigation.
