COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Main Street Program will be hosting a first time event in downtown Coldwater this Saturday between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m..
A soup and chili cook-off will highlight the event which is being called “Love Local”. The promotion is an effort to highlight local restaurants and to gear up shoppers for the Valentine’s Day season.
A map of all of the locations between the Four Corners and Jackson Street where chili and soup can be sampled has been posted on social media.
The public is invited to meander through local businesses, vote for their favorite spoonful, enjoy live music, and get a head start on shopping for Valentine’s Day gifts.
Plus, there will be special events throughout the district.

The soup and chili cook-off entries will be from Bills Grill House, Jeannie’s Diner, Short’s Front Porch, Two Bandits Brewing Company of Coldwater, The Broadway Grille, The Goodie Shop, Bent Prop Pub, Lamp Lighter Bar & Grill, Hope Cafe, Coach Eby Youth and Family Center, Oscar Brown’s Tavern and the Coldwater American Legion Post 52
