COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) -Civil War Days will be held once again next year in Heritage Park.
The Coldwater City Council gave their approval on Monday night to having the event over the Memorial Day weekend after organizer Bill Smith said Civil War Days last month was a big success.
He said they had 198 reenactors which was an increase of 60 from the previous year. There were 2,000 spectators on Saturday and another 1,000 on Sunday.
One event that will not be held next year is the Nightfire because as Smith put it, “it was making a ruckus”.
The next Civil War Days will held May 26, 27 and 28, 2016.
