COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Graduation season wrapped up Sunday evening with 246 members of the Coldwater High School Class of 2016 receiving their diplomas and certificates in front of a estimated crowd of 2500 at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium, another 100 who watched a live simulcast of the ceremony in the high school cafetorium, and around 170 who saw the live video stream on YouTube.
Shaima Abdullah, daughter of Afrah and Abdulsalm Abdullah, was named class Salutatorian, while Kumaran Arivoli, son of Arivoli Veerappan and Mehalia Arivoli, was named Valedictorian and also received the John Vance Award of Character and Achievement.
