QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Marble Chain of Lakes Association Spring Meeting will be held next Saturday, June 18th at the Sunset Cove Meeting Hall. Coffee and donuts will be served at 9:30am followed by the meeting at 10:00am. Agenda items include updates on boater safety laws and invasive weed control and stocking the lakes with fish.
Meanwhile, there will be free boat inspections on June 26th at the Wildwood Drive public access on Marble Lake across from Corn Island. Hours will be from 10:00am until 2:00pm.
The inspections will be conducted by the Branch County Marine Patrol at the request of the Marble Chain of Lakes Improvement Association.
No citations will be issued for boats that do not pass.
Boats that pass will get a sticker while operators of the ones not approved will be told what to do to bring the boat up to standards. No citations will be issued for boats that do not pass. If you have any questions, call Jim Strock at 639-5475.
