COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Sheriff John Pollack has announced that his department has created a Safe Exchange Zone in front of the Sheriff’s Office. Safe Exchange Zones have been created by law enforcement authorities as a way to stop the crime associated with online E-Commerce trade between strangers.
Pollack says an exchange can be monitored and there is a police presence in a Safe Exchange Zone.
The Safe Exchange Zone is set up in the center of the Sheriff’s Department parking lot in the front of the jail. It is clearly marked by two large red signs which informs people where they should park in order to be under the surveillance cameras.
