BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater goaltender Izzie Pool set a new school record for saves in the Cardinals 5-0 loss to Marshall in an Interstate 8 Conference girls soccer match on Wednesday night.
Marshall out shot Coldwater 55-4 but Pool and the defensive effort of all the Coldwater players made things difficult for Marshall.
Coldwater had what seemed like a sure goal cleared off the line when Lily Bockheim took a shot from 40 yards out.
Coldwater will continue I-8 play next week with home games against Parma Western and Jackson Northwest.
The Cardinals are 5-5-2 overall and 1-2-1 in the conference.

Quincy is now 6-1 on the season. They will take on Parchment and Comstock at the Quincy Invite this Saturday.
