UNDATED (WTVB) – While there were no elections held in Branch County on Tuesday, there were some school issues that had to be settled to the north.
Voters in Albion overwhelmingly approved a proposal to have Marshall Schools annex their school district. It passed 1,528 to 628.
A $30-million bond issue to make improvements and repairs for Battle Creek Lakeview schools, which focused on the middle school, was approved by voters 1,904 to 1,298. But a smaller $3.3 million request to install artificial turf and improve the Middle School Auditorium was narrowly defeated by 74 votes out of over 3,100 cast.
Voters in Burlington approved 3/10’s of a mill for library improvements 97 to 45.
