QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Quincy hosted 9 schools Friday for its annual Quincy Invitational. The Oriole boys finished runner-up to Union City; the Chargers had 178 points to Quincy’s 122. The Lady O’s won with their team score of 154, while Union City was fourth with 74.5 points.
Union City’s Alex Hull was a medalist four times over, winning in the 200m dash and pole vault and participating in the winning 4x200m and 4x400m relay teams. Other Charger winners include Hunter Sinke in the boys 400m, Ben Gautsche in the boys 1600m tun, Logan Cole in the boys shot put and discus, Nevada Gillons in the girls 100m hurdles, Adalynn Rumsey in the girls long jump, and the girls 4×200 relay team.
Winners for the host school include the boys 4×200 yard relay team, Ethan Hollister in the boys long jump, and Sophia Snellenberger in the girls shot put and discus; her discus throw of 147′ 11″ set a new school record.
