They also filed charges of meth possession, carrying a concealed weapon, being a felon in possession of a weapon, being a felon in possession of ammunition, being in possession of a dangerous weapon and fourth degree fleeing from an officer and felony firearm.
Court records show the criminal record for Brooks goes back to 1996. He has been convicted three times for felony assault with a dangerous weapon. Brooks has also been convicted for breaking and entering, fleeing from a police officer and meth possession.
Bond during his arraignment was set at $50,000 with a probable cause hearing scheduled for June 1 and a preliminary exam on June 8.
