BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Four persons were taken into custody and transported to the Branch County Jail Friday after the Branch County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant and recovered stolen property on Grass Lake Road.
The Sheriff’s Department says deputies received information of a stolen ATV from Steuben County being located there. During the course of their investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the property.
The items recovered were a stolen Polaris Ranger ATV out of Steuben County, a stolen John Deere Tractor out of Hillsdale County, two handguns and a large amount of methamphetamine and marijuana with a street value of $30,000.
According to Branch County court documents, two of the suspects taken into custody on Grass Lake Road have been formally charged.
59-year-old Peggy Jo Harvey was formally charged with maintaining a drug house. She is free on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
25-year-old Ashlyn Fowle was charged with receiving and concealing stolen property between $1,000 and $20,000. Her bond was also set at $5,000.
Not guilty pleas have been entered on behalf of Harvey and Fowle.
