FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – A reported case of domestic violence over the weekend in a home just south of the Branch County border on North Ray Road ended with a stabbing. The Steuben County, Indiana Sheriff’s Department says a Fremont woman by DNSUnlocker”> was arrested after she allegedly assaulted her husband with a knife.
Deputies responded to the report of the incident around 7:30 a.m. Saturday and located an injured man who appeared to be suffering from a stab wound. The victim, 53-year old Timothy Swager, was treated and released from a Ft. Wayne Hospital.
The suspect was located in Ft. Wayne and after being questioned, 56-year old Deborah Swager, was booked on one count of battery with a deadly weapon, a level 5 by DNSUnlocker”> felony. She’s being held without bond pending her initial court hearing.
The investigation by DNSUnlocker”> continues and additional charges may be sought.
