COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Seniors will have the opportunity to make changes to their Medicare Part D prescription plans during Open Enrollment which takes place between October 15 and December 7.
This is the time each year when Medicare beneficiaries can make changes to their prescription coverage if they wish to.
The Branch County Commission on Aging has counselors available at the Burnside Center to help Branch County seniors review their Part D options.
Debbie Ambrose says “It’s important to review your coverage annually, even if you’re happy with your current plan. Costs and coverage of the plans change from year to year so there may be options of better value.”
The Medicare Medicaid Assistance Program counselors are trained with the most up-to-date information on Part D prescription plans, as well as other programs and benefits related to Medicare and Medicaid.
The program is a free and unbiased service available to all Branch County seniors.
The MMAP office are scheduling Open Enrollment in-person and phone appointments. To schedule an appointment for your prescription plan review, call the Burnside Center at 279-6565, extension 129.
