WATERVLIET, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings marched into the Class C Regional finals at Watervliet on Tuesday night with a 3-0 victory over Niles Brandywine. It did not take long for the Vikings to defeat the Bobcats 25-7, 25-9 and 25-18.
The Vikings improved to 55-9-2 and will face Schoolcraft Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Class C Regional Final.
Thursday’s regional title match will feature two of the highest ranked teams in the state. Bronson has been ranked number one in Class C all season long by the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association. Schoolcraft has been a top ten team in the rankings throughout the season and were ranked fourth in the final poll.
Our McDonald’s Player of the Match was Keona Salesman, with a team-high 15 kills. Kiana Mayer served five aces as the Vikings recorded 11 aces in the match. Mayer also had 30 assists while Kiera Lasky had 12 digs.
