COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A 35-year-old bicyclist was taken to the Community Health Center of Branch County early Monday night after being struck by the side mirror of a passing auto.
The accident on West Garfield just west of Jay Street was reported to Branch County 9-1-1 at about 6:10 p.m.
The Coldwater Police Department says both the bicyclist and the 55-year-old driver of the auto were both heading west. The impact caused the mirror to come off as well as injuries to the bicyclist’s left arm.
Life Care Ambulance took the injured man to the Community Health Center of Branch County.
Police say alcohol was not involved in the accident, which remains under investigation.
