COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Kentucky woman who was charged in connection with a I-69 road rage incident in July entered into a plea agreement with the Branch County Prosecutors Office Monday.
50-year-old Tina Miracle entered guilty pleas in Branch County Circuit Court to charges of having a loaded weapon in a vehicle and aggravated assault. Eight other counts would be dismissed in exchange for her guilty pleas.
Sentencing has been scheduled for December 11, 2017.
Michigan State Police said at the time of the incident that two vehicles were traveling north on I-69 and passed each other several times.
Troopers say Miracle became angry enough to point a handgun at the other vehicle just south of the Branch-Calhoun County line to try and scare the four occupants.
She was in legal possession of the weapon according to investigators. No shots were fired.
Deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department stopped Miracle at I-69 and Michigan Avenue in Marshall Township. Miracle’s .38 caliber pistol was recovered from the vehicle.
Miracle was freed after posting a $25,000 bond.
