CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – Two men are in the St. Joseph County Jail awaiting arraignment following an officer-involved shooting late Wednesday night in Three Rivers.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office says it happened during an undercover investigation into methamphetamine in the area of U.S. 131 and Heimbach Road.
After a police officer identified himself, a vehicle which had been targeted by investigators struck an unmarked police car.
The targeted vehicle then tried to hit an officer who then fired a shot into the windshield.
The driver was struck in the right shoulder.
Other police officers quickly put the two suspects into custody.
35-year-old Lloyd O’Connor of Marcellus and 32-year-old Jordan Raymond of Menominee are both facing charges of attempted murder, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine along with three counts of assaulting, resisting and obstructing a police officer.
