Roger Lee Messenger, Jr., 54, of Quincy, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at his home.
He was born August 13, 1966 in Coldwater to Roger and Beverly (Burlew) Messenger, Sr.
Roger graduated from Reading High School, Class of 1984. He worked for a short time at Leclede Steel in Fremont and later transferred to Metaldyne where he was employed for over 20 years. Roger loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also loved sports and tinkering on old cars.
Survivors include his parents, Roger and Beverly Messenger; children, Shalina (Jeremy) Lewis, Shelby Messenger and Dalton Messenger; granddaughter, October Rain; and siblings, Debbie (Jollie) Cole, Linda Shank and Steven (Linda) Stull.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Zelma Burlew and Robert and Elizabeth Messenger.
Visitation for Roger Messenger Jr. will be held Friday, November 13, 2020 from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Reading. Face coverings and social distancing are required for indoor gatherings.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Branch County.
