JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal bowlers traveled to Jax 60 to face Jackson Northwest on Thursday.
The Coldwater Girls suffered their first loss of the season as they were defeated by the Mounties 18-12.
Coldwater split the regular games, losing game one 814 to 800, taking game two 814 to 777, and taking totals 1614 to 1591. The match came down to the Baker games with Northwest taking both games 161 to 156 and 158 to 151, taking totals 319 to 307.
Coldwater was led by Lily Cook with a 185 and 173, Ema Shidler with a 182 and Kylie Cook with a 173.
The Coldwater Boys dropped another close match as Northwest won 17-13.
Coldwater lost both regular games 772 to 703 and 787 to 730, losing totals 1559 to 1433. Coldwater mounted a comeback in the Baker games, winning both games 173 to 155 and 151 to 90, taking totals 324 to 205.
The boys were led by Kameron Corwin with a 213 and Owen Blackman with a 173 and 171.
The Junior Varsity matches were split. Coldwater won the boys match 24-6. Northwest won the girls match 23-7.
