COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Heading into the final three days of early in-person presidential primary voting in Branch County, only 200 people took advantage of the option through Thursday.
Branch County Clerk Terry Kubasiak says they had been averaging about 30 voters per day at the Dearth Center, with 47 showing up Thursday. In-person voting will continue Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. The location at the fairgrounds is the only early voting site in Branch County.
Voting Tuesday will be 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at normal polling locations around the county.
Kubasiak says the county will be reimbursed for the cost of the early in-person voting by the state Republican and Democrat parties. The county will be able apply for reimbursement from the State of Michigan for the August primary and November general elections.
