COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council is scheduled to interview the second of two finalists for the City Attorney’s position following their meeting on Monday night.
Current City Attorney Meghan Angell plans to eventually retire. No date has been set yet for her final day on the job. She has served as the City Attorney since September of 2016.
The City Council interviewed the first of two finalists for the position two weeks ago.
The City Attorney is appointed by the City Council and provides legal advice and representation to the City government, its departments, and boards.
The City Manager and the City Attorney are the only appointed officials in the City of Coldwater.
The position was posted this past November on the web site www.govhrusa.com. It listed an annual salary of between $125,000 and $175,000.
