Wanda Lee (Porter) Printke, 90, of Coldwater passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, at the LakeHouse of Coldwater.
A celebration of Wanda’s life will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Porter Farm, 283 E. Pearl Rd., Coldwater, MI 49036. Interment will be at Sorter Cemetery.
The family is being served by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Wanda was born January 21, 1934, in Coldwater, MI to Emery E. & Evangeline F. (Howard) Stickan. She married Frank Printke on May 14, 1977. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2022.
Wanda was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She spent many years working alongside her then husband Lawrence Porter on their family farm, where they had also raised their three sons.
Wanda enjoyed cooking for her family and was known for making unusual recipes, as well as making cakes, pies and cookies, which she often shared with others.
She was an excellent golfer, learning the sport from her husband Frank, and had won many awards for her skill. She was also an avid Bridge player.
Wanda adored her family and had many friends. She was known for her kindness, generosity and caregiving.
Wanda is survived by her sons Larry Porter, Garry (Pam) Porter, Charles Porter all of Coldwater; her brother Emery Stickan, Jr. of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren Tim (Lynn) Porter of New Hope, AL, Tom (Lana) Porter of Tampa, FL, Todd (Samantha) Porter of Coldwater, Amy (Ryan) VanAken of Coldwater; her great grandchildren Alyson (Tre), Phillip, Emma, Evan, Mya, Rylie, Laynie and Carly; her great, great grandson Raydon; extended family members Kathy (Wayne) Grissim of Coldwater and JoAnn Kehoe of Coldwater.
In addition to the husband Frank, Wanda was preceded in death by her former husband Lawrence Porter, her brothers Harry and Christian “Bud” Stickan, her stepson James Printke and her grandson Brian Porter.
