Susan Marie Schoonover, 62, of Hillsdale passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.
In accordance to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Susan was born April 26, 1961 to Arthur and Martha (Keil) Schoonover in Addison, MI. Susan harbored a servant’s heart as she spent a majority of her working career providing for the patients of Hilldale Hospital as a dietary aide.
She was a gentle woman that adored animals keeping many dogs and cats herself to love, cherish, and warm her home. Susan not only enjoyed cooking for work but always looked forward to sharing her talent with friends and family as often as she could.
She will be dearly missed as a beloved sister, aunt, and friend to many.
Susan leaves behind her sisters Sandra (Steve) Johnson of Coldwater, Sharon Maurer of Three Rivers, and her loving nieces and nephews Christy Lane, Stacy (Michael) Johnson, Carey (Michael) Pekan and Shawn Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law Rocky Maurer.
