Paul Allen Crandall, 60, of Litchfield, formerly of Union City, passed away of natural causes surrounded by family Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo.
The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
Paul was born September 21, 1963 in Coldwater to Alfred and Eileen (Anthony) Crandall. He attended Union City High School, but dropped out and immediately pursued his passion as a diesel mechanic. He worked primarily at Culps Salvage for 40 years.
He married Angel Middaugh, but that union would later end in divorce. He would later find the love of his life, Nancy Ginnell, and they have been together for over 30 years.
When not working, you could find Paul tinkering with vehicles, fishing, going to the races, and even participating in a few at the Butler Motor Speedway. He had a particularly memorable race losing his brakes and steering wheel. Thankfully, he was unharmed and good spirited. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children; Paul Peterson of Quincy, Amber (Travis) Dobson of KS, Jason Crandall of Tekonsha, Carl Crandall of Coldwater, Keisha Keish of KY, and David Crandall; his girlfriend, Nancy Grinnell; his step-children, Krystall Parker of Burlington, Jessica Williams of Traverse City, Tom Grinnell of Jackson, AJ Grinnell of Hillsdale, and Brandon Grinnell of Albion; his siblings; Alfred (Jean) Crandall of Battle Creek and Mike (Samantha Pillars) Crandall of Sherwood, and has 20 grandchildren.
He is preceded by his parents and his siblings; Deedee Wilson and George Edwards.
Memorial contributions can be directed to Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation, PO Box 161, Union City, MI 49094, to help with final expenses.
