BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Police Department is now operating out of their new building at 120 West Chicago which used to house PNC Bank.
The lobby opened up over the weekend. It’s configuration is the same as the old building.
The department has been transitioning into the new building over the last couple of weeks. They had been sharing space with the Bronson Fire Department.
The police department’s phone remains the same. It’s still 517-369-9083.
Bronson Police Chief Stephen Johnson says they are planning an open house later this spring to show everyone how much of a difference this building makes.
Johnson says in a post on the department’s Facebook page, “We are very fortunate to have this opportunity to have much more room to do the work of serving the public. We hope the citizens will be happy with what we have done. I personally want to thank the Bronson DPW staff, Bronson Police Department staff, especially the Bronson City Council members and City Manger Brandon Mersman with the support they have given the police department to make this transition as smooth as it can be. We are very fortunate.”
