COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater B.P.U. Board of Directors approved a quote request on Wednesday night from Apex Clean Energy, also known as Coldwater Solar, so that they could obtain a data circuit at their new solar field at 150 Sanford Road.
ISP Operations Manager Bob Worley said in order to provide service to this property, the project would require a two-mile extension of the CBPU’s existing fiber system.
He pointed out Apex would pay all of the costs for the system expansion which comes out to over $49,500.
Worley said the work would be done in house and won’t cost the CBPU anything.
The plan would be to intercept the existing fiber in front of Project IV, extend south to Stickney Road, follow Stickney Road west to Sanford Road and end at the property location.
