COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Canvassers finished six days of work on Tuesday by certifying the results of the November 3 election.
County Clerk Terry Kubasiak said the vote totals from all of the precincts balanced. She added no votes were thrown out and there were no provisional ballots.
Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says all 83 counties in Michigan have certified their results. Benson adds the State Board of Canvassers will meet on Monday to issue final certification of the election.
The final numbers show that 20,667 registered voters in Branch County cast ballots in the general election including over 7,000 who voted absentee.
The Branch County turnout ended up at 57.5 percent of the county’s 35,943 registered voters.
