COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities is reminding customers who may need some assistance with their utility bills that electric disconnects will begin again after April 15.
The CBPU encourages any customer who needs utility bill assistance to contact their Customer Service Team at (517) 279-9531. Customers may also call 2-1-1 or visit www.mi211.org for energy assistance information.
In addition, Michigan Gas Utilities is urging their customers who are behind on natural gas bills to contact the company as soon as possible to avoid disconnection. Winter Protection Plan agreements in place this winter will end at the end of March.
MGU says customers who establish and maintain a payment plan are not at risk for disconnection.
The utility also says they work with its customers throughout the year to provide payment plans and to connect them with energy assistance options.
