COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved a contract Monday night with Amanda O’Boyle to serve as the next Coldwater City Attorney.
O’Boyle has been serving as the Deputy City Attorney in Lansing and accepted terms of the contract which includes an annual salary of $146,000.
O’Boyle would take over the City Attorney duties from Megan Angell who has announced her plans to retire. She has served as the City Attorney since September of 2016.
It’s not clear yet when Angell will turn the City Attorney duties over to O’Boyle.
The City Attorney is appointed by the City Council and provides legal advice and representation to the City government, its departments, and boards.
The City Manager and the City Attorney are the only appointed officials in the City of Coldwater.
