COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Repairs continue to be made to the historic Merriman Dental Office building at 25 West Chicago which was placed on the market just over a month ago.
Building owners Rhonda Ives and Neil Degolia listed the building for $140,000.
A portion of the sidewalk on South Monroe has been blocked off due to the ongoing repairs to the building which is off limits to the public. The City of Coldwater’s Neighborhood Services Department posted a sign in early February saying the property was uninhabitable.
South Monroe Street between U.S. 12 and West Pearl had to be shut down in August of 2022 after pieces of the brick and ornamental overhang fell to the street.
No one was injured. It was thought bird droppings led to the pieces falling off the building which was constructed in 1872.
The real estate ad calls the building, “an amazing location and opportunity for your commercial business.” It has three levels plus a partially finished basement with half bath. The open floor plan features 2,000 square feet on the main level.
It adds the second and third level could be finished for apartment use or additional office/storage use.
