COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County 911 Communications Board has scheduled a special Zoom meeting for Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. on a pair of matters.
They are scheduled to get a report from consultant Kevin Kearns of IXP Corporation of Seattle who was hired by the county to review the 911 Dispatch operations and to make recommendations to county officials. The 911 Service Plan Proposal is also on Wednesday’s agenda.
The Branch County Board of Commissioners have scheduled a December 22 public hearing on a tentative amended 911 service plan agreement which will take place during the Commissioners final regular meeting of 2020.
The resolution passed on Thursday allows for the plan to be sent out to various public agencies in the 911 Technical Service District of the Plan and the 911 Board for their review.
Their input and whatever concerns they have will then be presented during the December 22 public hearing which will be followed by final formal action by the Commissioners.

If 911 doesn’t get what they need and at least much of what they want no first responder, other persons, place or thing is safe in Branch County. Stop jacking them around!
